How to Use the Custom Dictionary for Better Accuracy

Whisper is generally accurate, but it has no way of knowing your company's product name, a guest's unusual name, or field-specific jargon unless you tell it. The custom dictionary fixes exactly this — a list of "wrong word → correct word" corrections that ScribeForge applies automatically.

Adding entries

1. Open Settings → Dictionary.
2. Add an entry: the word Whisper tends to get wrong, and the correct version. For example, a misheard product name or an uncommon proper noun.
3. Save. The entry now applies to future transcriptions automatically.

Bulk import

If you have a long list of corrections already — a cast list, a glossary of technical terms — import them all at once via CSV instead of adding entries one by one.

Applying it retroactively

Added a dictionary entry after you already transcribed something? You can re-apply the current dictionary to an existing transcript from the transcript's options menu, without re-running the full transcription.

Good candidates for the dictionary

• Names of recurring guests, colleagues or clients
• Product names, brand names, and company-specific terms
• Technical or industry jargon that comes up often in your recordings
