Fix "ScribeForge is damaged and can't be opened" on macOS
If you see the message "ScribeForge is damaged and can't be opened", don't worry—your app is completely safe.
This happens because ScribeForge is a newly released app. macOS Gatekeeper may temporarily block new applications until they build Apple's trust reputation. This does not mean the app is unsafe or contains malware.
You can fix it in less than a minute by following the steps below.
Step 1: Open Terminal
Press ⌘ Command + Space, type Terminal, and press Enter.
Step 2: Run this command
Copy and paste the command below into Terminal, then press Enter.
xattr -cr /Applications/ScribeForge.app
Step 3: Open ScribeForge
Open ScribeForge again from your Applications folder.
Done! 🎉 ScribeForge should now open and work normally.
Note: This is a common macOS security message for newly released apps and is expected until Apple fully recognizes the application.
