How to Use the AI Analysis Tools
Once you have a transcript, the AI Tools screen can turn it into a summary, an action-item list, a blog post, YouTube chapter timestamps, and more — using 80+ built-in prompts, or your own custom prompt.
Running your first analysis
- Open a transcript, then click AI analysis in the side panel, or go to AI Tools in the sidebar for the full prompt library.
- Pick a prompt — summary, action items, key quotes, blog post, chapter timestamps and dozens more are built in.
- Choose your AI provider and supply an API key (bring-your-own-key), or point it at a local Ollama instance if you'd rather keep the AI step local as well.
- Run the prompt. The output is saved alongside the transcript, so you can revisit it later.
Custom prompts
Beyond the 80+ built-in prompts, you can write and save your own — useful if you have a recurring task the defaults don't quite cover, like reformatting transcripts into a specific report template your team uses.
Keeping the AI step local too
If avoiding cloud APIs entirely matters to you — not just for transcription, but for the AI analysis step as well — point ScribeForge at a local Ollama installation instead of a cloud provider.
